Body fat reduction
Almost all of us are familiar with small problem areas and unwanted fat deposits. These areas usually prove to be extremely stubborn and often cannot be combated even with intensive exercise and a healthy diet.
At the same time, a slim body is considered desirable and attractive by both women and men and is seen as a success factor both personally and professionally.
Treatment methods that eliminate unwanted fat quickly, easily and for a long time are correspondingly attractive. There are various medical, alternative medical and cosmetic technologies on the market for this purpose, which vary in terms of effectiveness, durability and strain on the body.
A fundamental distinction is made between reversible and irreversible processes.
Reversible procedures empty the fat cell. The fat is expelled from the cell and the cell loses volume. The fat cell itself remains in the body and can potentially be replenished with a high-calorie diet. The procedures are therefore subject to the same typical yo-yo effect that many diets entail. The advantage of some reversible technologies lies in the additional integrated skin tightening, which reduces cellulite and firms sagging tissue. Reversible procedures include lymphatic drainage or pressure massage devices such as the Toplite Cosmetic System X-Pression 2.0, lipolaser, radio frequency devices, massage devices (e.g. LPG) and combination procedures with lipolaser, massage and vacuum function as well as bipolar radio frequency, such as the Toplite Cosmetic System X-SHAPE.
With irreversible procedures, the fat cell is permanently and completely removed from the body and therefore cannot be replenished. The dreaded yo-yo effect does not occur. Irreversible procedures include injection lipolysis (fat removal injection), liposuction, ultrasound cavitation and cryolipolysis. The disadvantage of most irreversible procedures is the high strain on the body. Cryolipolysis, e.g. with the Toplite Cosmetic System X-Freeze NXT, is the exception! Here, unwanted fat cells are cooled down and damaged to such an extent that they can be gently broken down by the body over a period of approx. 12 weeks.
