Cryolipolysis

For years, research has been carried out into various procedures to minimize excess body fat without surgery. Cryolipolysis (e.g. with the NEW Toplite Cosmetic Systems X-Freeze NXT) has achieved a breakthrough!

In this procedure, fat cells are treated in a targeted manner by applying cold locally. It is a non-invasive technique in which the fatty tissue is drawn into the handpieces by vacuum for an hour and cooled down in a controlled manner.

The aggregate state of the triglycerol changes from liquid to solid as the fat cells crystallize under the influence of the cold generated. In this way, apoptosis (controlled cell degradation) is induced. Only the fat cells react to the targeted hypothermia. Surrounding tissue is protected from damage by the skin’s natural protective function.

As a result of apoptosis, the phagocytes of the immune system are activated by so-called cytokines. The phagocytes (macrophages) gradually break down the affected fat cells. During this process, the lipids are slowly released from the fat cells and transported away by the lymphatic system for processing.

As the lipids are broken down gradually, there is no negative change in blood lipid levels or liver function.

This natural reduction process lasts 8 – 12 weeks and leads to a gradual reduction in the fat layer, which manifests itself in significantly smaller or completely disappearing fat pads. As the reduction process is continuous and the skin can adapt accordingly, there is no accumulation of superfluous skin flaps, unsightly sagging of the skin or uneven skin surfaces with possible surgical consequences.

Areas to be treated include the abdomen, hips, back, arms, thighs and calves, knees and chin. For promising results, 3 treatments at intervals of 4 weeks are recommended.
